MESSAGE OF GOD'S LOVE

At the Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC). We experience the joy of reaching out to hundreds of people, many belonging to other faiths, to spread the great message of God's love for us, His children.

HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU

Dear Child of God, I request you to lift your hearts to God and join me as I pray: Loving Father, pour out your abundant LOVE into the hearts of the reader and the hearers through the Holy Spirit, whom you have given as your gift to us. Dear Holy Spirit, fill them with divine wisdom to know and love you. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Catholic Enquiry Centre Day 2021

"Evangelization is the MISSION of the Church, not just of a few! It is mine and yours, it is our MISSION". - His holiness Pope Francis

Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC) is a Centre for evangelization in the Archdiocese of Bangalore. It is situated above Infant Jesus Shrine at Viveknagar where large number of pilgrims belonging to different faiths come to pray. Some of them are eager to know more about Jesus, some seek prayer support & counselling and some enroll for free Bible Correspondence Course.

The CEC has reached out to many people during the past 44 years. Special counselling is given to those who prepare for Baptism. CEC units also function at St Mary's Basilica, Shivajinagar on Saturdays and St Patrick's Church on Tuesdays. CEC units will soon start functioning at Sacred Heart Church, Richmond Road on Fridays and St Antony's Church, TC Palya on Tuesdays.

CEC Day is celebrated once in a year; each time in different parishes to inspire more people to participate and revitalise the CEC mission with their time, talent and resources.

This year CEC Day was celebrated on 14th November at Infant Jesus Church, Viveknagar. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Archbishop Most Rev Dr Peter Machado and concelebrated by Rev Fathers Joseph Menezes, Martin Kumar, Susainathan, Antony Christt Raj, Chinnarao and Deacon George. Archbishop delivered a very inspiring homily. He said "everyone has to listen to the voice of God, experience the love of God and share it with others." His grace quoted St Francis of Assisi "Proclaim the Gospel all time; if necessary use words". He continued "our religion is love; touch the hearts of people with the Good News of God's love. Our action should speak louder than words."

After the meaningful Eucharistic celebration, the Annual Report of CEC for the year 2020-2021 was released by Archbishop together with Rev Fr Chinnarao, Spiritual Director and Sr CL Clare, dsp, CEC Directress.

CEC co-workers from Infant Jesus Church unit renewed their commitment for CEC mission in the presence of Archbishop, other priests and Sr Clare at CEC office. Volunteers from Sacred Heart Church and St Mary's Basilica were present.

Sr Clare CL expressed her immense gratitude to God Almighty, our beloved Archbishop and others for their presence, support and encouragement. There was a group photo followed by fellowship tea.

An exhibition ito proclaim the Good News was also arranged in Infant Jesus Church premises.
