MESSAGE OF GOD’S LOVE

At the Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC), we experience the joy of reaching out to hundreds of people, many belonging to other faiths, to spread the great message of God’s love for us, His children. This is done not just by means of handing over booklets alone, but also through a time of “personal encounter” with the people on a one-to-one basis or with more peoples as the occasion demands. This personal teaching (neo-catechism) is like an addition to the Catechism classes conducted at the Parish level.

We introduce God, our Loving Father, Jesus Christ, His Son, our Redeemer and Saviour and Holy Spirit, our resident Helper to “seekers”. When we tell them about the immense and unconditional love of God our Father from the Bible, they find it hard to describe the joy that they experience in their hearts. When they begin to believe that Jesus died on the Cross not only for the forgiveness of their sins but also to save and adopt them as loving Children into God’s family, the thirst and hunger to receive Him intensifies in their hearts. The truth that “God is our loving father and that we are His children, His beloved sons and daughters" leads them to build a personal relationship with God as their Father and encourages them to call Him "Abba Father" convincingly from the depth of their hearts.

During the last year, the CEC Family witnessed God in His merciful love touching and saving many individuals and families. We were able to partake of the inexplicable joy even as many received the Sacrament of Baptism. We give praise, glory and honour to our loving Abba Father for all His mighty deeds in our midst.
