MESSAGE OF GOD'S LOVE

At the Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC). We experience the joy of reaching out to hundreds of people, many belonging to other faiths, to spread the great message of God’s love for us, His children.

HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU

Dear Child of God, I request you to lift your hearts to God and join me as I pray: Loving Father, pour out your abundant LOVE into the hearts of the reader and the hearers through the Holy Spirit, whom you have given as your gift to us. Dear Holy Spirit, fill them with divine wisdom to know and love you. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

CEC Christmas Outreach - 2013

Every year the Archdiocesan Catholic Enquiry Centre under the leadership of Sr. C.L.Clare, dsp organizes Christmas outreach programme in the month of December. This consists of visiting the patients of Kidwai Memorial Cancer Hospital, Remand Homes for Boys, Girls, Destitute women and children. This year we had it on 8th of December. Full of Spirit and Enthusiasm the Co-workers, staff and sisters gathered in the convent of Daughters of St. Paul, early in the morning. We started our mission with the short prayer. First we went to Kidwai Memorial Cancer Hospital and we met the patients and spoke to them about Christ and his healing power. We distributed the leaflets to all and the New Testaments to those who were interested to know Christ. Brothers from St. Peter’s Seminary sang a Christmas song in Kannada. A Short movie on the life of Christ was screened to the inmates. We also distributed buns and sweet limes to the patients. After that we visited the Children’s ward and gave them some gifts. Brothers sang some carols for the children. Fr. Joseph Abraham was present there. He gave the Christmas message and prayed for all the people who gathered there. From there we left to the Juvenile Home for boys. There too we had some programmes put up by the brothers life of Christ was screened to them as well. All the boys were attentive to see the movie after which they were asked to share their experiences on scenes which inspired them most. They were given some gifts as well.

At noon we went to the women’s ward and sang carols and distributed gifts. Then we visited Juvenile Home for girls. We conducted some games, sang some carols and distributed the gifts. We visited the babies ward too. After our Lunch at MSC convent in Koramangala we went to the Observation home at Madiwala where we met the boys and put up a skit on the birth of Jesus we sang the carols and distributed gifts.

Indeed it was a day of great joy for us to be with them and spend our time with them. It brought joy and happiness to the inmates of those homes. We are grateful to God Almighty for giving us this opportunity to be around people who are suffering and are in difficult moments of their life. We had the opportunity to testify Christ to the people. In spite of their suffering and ailment we could see the smile on their faces as we were with them giving Christ to them and as we distributed the leaflets and gifts.
