Christmas message at the CEC Christmas Get-together

"Witness of our life is the best method to draw others to Christ," said the Archbishop of Bangalore, the Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, while delivering the Christmas message at the CEC Christmas Get-together, held at the Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall, on Saturday, December 13, 2014.

Stating that not all visit the Infant Jesus Church at Viveknagar, where the Catholic Enquiry Centre is located, the Archbishop urged all the churches in the parishes to become centres of the Good News. "People should be able to approach us and we should direct them. Every church and institution should have a CEC wing for people to know more about Jesus Christ."

Thanking and appreciating the dedicated and tireless services of Rev. Fr. J.A. Nathan, CEC Spiritual Director and Parish Priest of Jude's Church, and Sr C.L. Clare, dsp, Directress of the CEC, and her band of co-workers, the Patron of this Archdiocesan Centre, Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras encouraged "to speak about Jesus in public is not easy. It is a challenge and needs courage, strength of spirit and commitment. A kind word or gesture will portray Jesus to those who are receiving it."

“Therefore, at Christmas time, which is a celebration of the birth of Lord Jesus, the Prince of Peace and Saviour of the world” the Archbishop explained “we must give Christ to others… Giving away copies of the Bible and the FREE Bible correspondence course of the CEC may be just one of the ways of spreading the message of Christ. But we must do everything in the name of Jesus with the spirit of Christmas in our hearts, families and lives. Only then will the joy and peace of Christmas be ours."

He then shared warm Christmas wishes with all those gathered – the Enquirers (Seekers), Families, CEC Co-workers, Staff, other Religious, and later blessed the Assembly, praying for a fruitful Christmas Season for all.
