MESSAGE OF GOD'S LOVE

At the Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC). We experience the joy of reaching out to hundreds of people, many belonging to other faiths, to spread the great message of God’s love for us, His children.

HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU

Dear Child of God, I request you to lift your hearts to God and join me as I pray: Loving Father, pour out your abundant LOVE into the hearts of the reader and the hearers through the Holy Spirit, whom you have given as your gift to us. Dear Holy Spirit, fill them with divine wisdom to know and love you. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

ARCHBISHOP'S MESSAGE

ECUMENICAL CHRISTMAS GATHERING
The Bangalore United Christian Forum for Human Rights, and the Ecumenism Commission of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, jointly organised and conducted an Ecumenical Christmas gathering on Dec 7, 2014, at the Workers’ Centre, Paalanaa Bhavana. The programme brought together representatives of seven Christian Denominations, including Roman Catholics, the Church of South India, the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, the Believers’ Church, the Lutheran Church, the Baptist Church and the Orthodox Church. It was a delightful evening of carols and cultural programmes, involving church choirs and troupes from other institutions. The Archbishop graced the occasion for a short while and delivered a message on Christian unity. The keynote address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Shyam P. Thomas, the Vicar of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Primrose Road. Other items included a Scripture reading by Rev. A. C. Kurian, and a reflection by Rev. Sumanth Kumar from the Believers’ Church. Some of the cultural highlights were carols by the Mar Thoma choir from Chikballapur, the Mar Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral Choir, the Tamil choir from St. Jude’s Church, RT Nagar, and the English carols also by St. Jude’s Church. The arrival of Santa Claus and the cake cutting brought much joy to all, particularly to the children present. The gathering ended with the Unity Anthem, after which snacks were served.
